» Your Scout Fundraising Account

Each Cub Scout in Pack 119 has an account with the pack, used to pay for camps, activities, uniforms and any Scouting-related expenses throughout their time with the pack. The money in these accounts comes from our popcorn fundraiser in October. The money earned by your scout(s) is deposited in November, after the Northern Star Council credits us for our popcorn sale efforts.

Save your receipts for anything you buy related to something your boy will use for Cub Scouts, especially at The Scout Shop: uniforms, t-shirts, hats, crafts, books, pocket knife, camping equipment, etc...

If a family has more than one Cub Scout in the pack, the account is a family account.

If your scout graduates to a Boy Scout Troop, the money in your scout's account transfers to an account with their troop. If your scout is planning on leaving the pack, at any time, you may choose to turn the money over to the pack or to use up the remaining balance by purchasing Scouting-related items. In the case of a boy leaving Scouting, you have one year from when you notify a leader you are leaving to use the money or it becomes the property of the pack.

If you have any questions about your scout's account, including the current balance, please contact Pack Treasurer Gavin Bade.

Hi Akela and Scouters of Pack 119,

Sign-ups will close November 30th and payment must be received by Nov. 30 or you will not get signed up.

Let's Reward Our Scouts with Awards!
It's up to you - parents and adult partners - to keep your den leader updated on what requirements your scout has met toward his rank.

The den leaders then let our Awards Coordinator know (Look for the Tiger, Wolf, Bear and Webelos advancement sheets under the Forms heading on this website) so they can record their progress, and figure out what awards he should order, to help plan for award ceremonies at upcoming pack meetings.

Thank you for your commitment to your scout's success!

Training for Leaders

Several training sessions are available for new and veteran leaders in our pack. All new leaders need to take: Cub Scout Fast Start, New Leader Essentials, Cub Scout leader Specific and Youth Protection. Veteran leaders taking on a new position also need to take a Cub Scout Leader Specific course. Contact Cubmaster Rusty Groves for more information on all of these.

New Leaders: Click here to follow the steps for the online Cub Scout Fast Start course. Once you complete it, click this page at the Northern Star Council site. You only need to take this course once.

Also, new and veteran leaders can take the Youth Protection course online. You only need to take this course once. You can also take this course in person at an event below.

"I'm a Scout"

Here is one of the most compelling stories about what it means to be a Scout:

Allen Daggett, a 14-year-old Boy Scout from California was critically injured while saving his younger brother from being hit by a train. When he regained consciousness his first question was about his brother, and if he was okay.

After being told his brother was safe, thanks to his actions, Daggett said "I couldn't have done anything else. I'm a Scout."
